Upon learning that Samantha is her long-lost sister, Ana tries her best to reach out to the former. However, Ana’s efforts are met with resistance. Despite this, Ana is determined to reconcile with Samantha. Realizing that she has nowhere to go, Miranda swallows her pride and calls her son for help. Gael then races against time to rescue his mother from Salvador’s men. Meanwhile, Salvador defends himself during the Senate inquiry over President Noble's death.

Salvador is taken into custody due to his involvement in Samantha's abduction. Upon learning about this, Ana, Hillary, and Samantha rush to the police station. There, an argument ensues between the two sides, causing Salvador to reveal how he really feels for Samantha. This deeply hurts Samantha, who has spent her life trying to gain the senator’s acceptance. Meanwhile, Gael pleads with Miranda to help him take Salvador down.

Ana spends time with Hillary as they prepare for the latter’s charity event. This, however, does not sit well with Samantha. Determined not to be outdone, Samantha ensures that she is always one step ahead of Ana. Later, Samantha vents out her resentments about her childhood, leading to an altercation between her and Ana. Elsewhere, Salvador pleads with Miranda to come back to him.
